Conservation services and programs

 

The Division of Soil & Water Conservation provides technical and financial assistance to Delaware’s farmers, landowners, and homeowners to protect and enhance the state's soil and water resources. Such help is provided mainly through the staff of the Division’s District Operations Section .

In other cases, District Operations provides funding (made available through the Delaware Legislature and EPA’s Section 319 federal grant ) to other entities to ensure these services are available.

Deer Damage Assistance Program
This program helps Delaware landowners and agricultural producers minimize crop loss due to whitetail deer predation. Landowners and agricultural producers interested in learning more about the program should contact Ken Reynolds, Program Manager, Division of Fish and Wildlife at 302-653-2883.
