The sequence of photographs below shows changes in the beach over the last year at the Herring Point groin – starting with a photo taken in April 2007 before groin reconstruction began with the last photo taken five months after the project was completed. The arrow points to the same location in each photograph. Note the change in the beach's width and height as the restored groin enables sand to accumulate.
